About the Driving Theory Test
Format
The theory test has two parts: 50 multiple choice questions (57 minutes) and a hazard perception test (14 video clips). You must pass both parts in the same sitting.
Pass Mark
You need at least 43 out of 50 on the multiple choice section and 44 out of 75 on hazard perception.
Booking & Cost
Book online at GOV.UK. The test costs £23. You must have a valid provisional driving licence. Results are valid for 2 years.
